Brian L Spatz

Brian Lee Spatz, 82, passed away peacefully on June 10, 2025.

A proud Marine and Vietnam veteran, Brian served his country with quiet strength and enduring honor.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years, Barbara; sons, Matthew and Timothy; sister, Linda Sustana; and grandchildren, Kevin (Jenna), Jacob (Molly), Ryan, Aaron, Jessica, Emma, and Cooper. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Brian will be remembered for his steady presence, strong values, and deep devotion to his family. He had a lifelong love of dogs—especially Siggy, Clifford, Alex, Mallory, Brutus, and all the neighborhood dogs who knew him well. He was passionate about classic cars, particularly Thunderbirds and Broncos, and took great pride in his years working for the Cleveland Metroparks.

Among his many legacies was his unwavering commitment to lifelong learning.

A private service will be held.

A Celebration of Life will take place on July 23rd, from 1–4 p.m., at the Coe Lake Pavilion in Berea.
