Carrie L. Tretiakow

July 11, 1947 — September 2, 2025

Our beloved Carrie L. Tretiakow (née Adams) of North Ridgeville, Ohio, passed away peacefully after a long illness in Avon, Ohio, on September 2, 2025.

Carrie was born in Nashville, Tennessee, to Arthur and Roberta Adams. She was the cherished wife of Walenty for 27 years and the loving mother of Carlos. She retired from the Post Office in 2013 after almost 40 years of service, and she was an active member of the Cleveland Sign Language Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses since 2005.

Carrie was a classy dresser and well known for her radiant smile, great sense of humor, kindness, and generosity. She touched the hearts of everyone she met. In her younger years, she loved going fishing with her family in Sandusky, Ohio. She also enjoyed dancing, spending time with friends and family, and participating in the ministry, telling others about Jehovah God.

Carrie is survived by her beloved husband, Walenty Tretiakow; her much loved son, Carlos Jones; her uncle Rickie (Lori) Anderson-Scott and their son, Jason Scott; cherished family friend, Gloria Dean Turner; her sisters-in-law, Liz (Tony) Bekoscke and Sandy (John) Carrocia; and her nephews and nieces: Rachel (Adam), David (Marisa), Rebekah (Michael), Melanie (Jacob), Steven, and Matthew.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Roy and Margaret Scott; her parents, Arthur and Roberta Adams; and her cousin, Kenneth Love.

Carrie will be deeply missed by many. We look forward to seeing her again soon and hearing her say, “That was just pityful.”

The family would like to thank the wonderful medical staff at Fresenius Dialysis Center and the Cleveland Clinic, as well as the outstanding Sign Language interpreters at the Cleveland Clinic who were always available when needed.

The memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 2:30 p.m. at:

Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses
