With deep love and heavy hearts, the family of Donald Carl DiFranco announces his peaceful passing on July 17, 2025, at the age of 80.
Donald was the beloved husband of Susan DiFranco, with whom he shared 49 wonderful years of marriage. He was a devoted father to Jennifer Kostos, William Seelbach, Christine Slagter, Scott DiFranco, Donald A. DiFranco, and Danielle Kelly. A proud grandfather of 14 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren, Donald cherished his family above all and found great joy in their love and laughter.
He was the dear brother of James DiFranco and the late Robert “Bob” DiFranco, and the loving son of the late Carmen DiFranco.
Donald honorably served his country in the United States Air Force, retiring with the rank of Sergeant. Throughout his military career, he was recognized with several honors, including the National Defense Service Medal, the Air Force Good Conduct Medal, and the National Service Award Medal. He also served as a Special Instructor, known for his leadership, dedication, and integrity.
Beyond his service, Donald was a man who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He loved playing cards, fantasy sports, and especially treasured family game nights. A loyal Cleveland sports fan, he proudly supported his hometown teams through every season.
Donald’s presence brought warmth, strength, and kindness to all who knew him. His memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved and those who loved him in return.
