Guy Jarrett

July 12, 1959 — May 18, 2025

Guy James Jarrett was born on July 12, 1959 in Cleveland Ohio to Dorthy Louise Jarrett (deceased) and James Turner (deceased) Guy was the youngest of four children.

Guy was educated in the Cleveland Public Schools. He also attended Dyke College and Cuyahoga Community College. Guy accepted Christ at an early age as his personal savior and was baptized at Cleveland Church of Christ Citadel of Hope.

Guy's hobby was shooting pool; He loved the game and he was a pool shark. He enjoyed roller skating, riding his bike and skate boarding. He helped family and friends when needed.

Guy had a giving heart and said the craziest things to make you laugh.

Guy was preceded in death by his sister Sonia Jarrett, sister Willa Owens, nephew Derrence Owens, special cousin Dwight Johnson, aunt Geraldine Johnson and uncle Albert Johnson.

Guy leaves to cherish his precious memory son Guy Deshawn Jarrett, sister Belinda Banks and his very Special brother-in-law: Alphonso Banks, who stood by him with loyalty and care.

Guy leaves behind a devoted companion, Tracie Marsh, and a loving brother-in-law, Curtis Owens. Guy was a guiding presence and source of affection to his nieces: Kutrice Owens and Shanti (Patrick) McGhee, and nephews: Alphonso (Christina) Banks, DelWuan (Carolyn) Banks, Terrence (Tiffany) Owens, and Jerrence Owens.

He also played a special role in the lives of his great-nieces: Tre’sor, Jada, Diamond, Lundyn, Sonia, and Skye; and great-nephews: Tyrique, DelWuan, Thomas, Josiah, Ziale, and Zelin. The family legacy continues through his great-great-niece, Demi, who brought him immeasurable joy.

Guy’s memory will be cherished by a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends. His presence brought light into every room, his laughter was contagious, and his love was unconditional.

Guy was very loved and will truly be missed.
