Magaly Josefina Alvarez de Khilzi

Magaly Josefina Alvarez de Khilzi, a cherished wife, mother, sister, and aunt, passed away peacefully on January 17, 2026, in Cleveland, Ohio, at the age of 70, after a brief illness.

Born on January 1, 1956, to her loving parents, Jose Antonio Alvarez and Guadalupe Vega, Magaly was a devoted sister to Rosa, Alida, America, Isabel (Chela), and Jose Luis. She is reunited in death with two of her siblings, Efrain and Alfredo. She held her family close to her heart and passionately valued the time spent with them.

Magaly met and married the love of her life, Edkar Khilzi Bali, and together they nurtured a beautiful family, raising their beloved children: Marai, Jennifer, Yosemit, Kary, and Georgett. She was blessed with the joy of being a grandmother to Eddy, Joseph, Ethan, Helena, Eliana, and Emilia, whom she delightfully spoiled with her unconditional love.

In addition to her immediate family, Magaly is survived by her treasured nieces and nephews: Noraida, Ligre, Siria, Jose Antonio, Maira, Yula, Maigualida, Valentina, Cristina, Carolina, Virginia, Jose Fernando, Maria Fernanda, Alfredo, Ayaris, Mariela, Rafael, Luis, Victor, and Jose Efrain.

Magaly’s spirit will be lovingly remembered and missed by all who knew her. Her legacy of love and devotion to family will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
