In Loving Memory of Marc Erhard Johnson

Beloved Son, Brother, Uncle, Husband, and Friend

It is with profound sadness and heartbreak that the Johnson family announces the unexpected passing of our beloved Marc Johnson. Marc left us far too soon over Memorial Day weekend due to heart-related issues at his home in North Olmsted, Ohio. He is now reunited with his younger brother Chad, and we take some comfort in imagining them together again—likely stirring up laughter and a bit of mischief just as they always did.

Marc was many things: a protective and loving son, a loyal and fun-loving brother, a devoted friend, a doting uncle, the best restaurant manager to those in Cleveland, Las Vegas and Myrtle Beach, really an all-around amazing man. His presence lit up any room, and he had an uncanny ability to connect deeply with people—often within minutes of meeting them. A conversation with Marc was never just small talk; it was usually paired with hearty laughter, good food (especially meat!), and something to sip on. That was Marc—genuine, generous, and full of life.

He found joy in the simple pleasures of family time. One of his favorite traditions was taking his nieces to Dave & Buster’s in Westlake for games and fun. In honor of those cherished moments, we invite friends and family to join us for a Celebration of Life at that very location June 7th 2025 6-9pm. Together, we will remember the vibrant spirit, humor, and love that Marc brought into all of our lives.

Marc leaves behind a family who loves him deeply and misses him more than words can say:

His father, Russell T. Johnson, and mother, Joyce Johnson;

His siblings: Russ, Sean, Heather, and his late brother Chad;

His brothers-in-law: Jeremy and John; sisters-in-law: Sheryl, Jenny, and Amanda;

His adoring nieces: Gianna, Vivian, and Alexandra;

And his beloved nephews: Rusty, Robby, Dylan, and Cameron.

We love you so much, Marcy. Your laughter, strength, and light will forever remain in our hearts. You will be sorely missed by all who were lucky enough to know you.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Marc’s name to the Family Heart Foundation, an organization dedicated to raising awareness and saving lives from inherited heart conditions:
