Mary Ann Simmons

Mary Ann Simmons (Schlund), age 87, of Strongsville, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 13, 2025, surrounded by her family.

Mary was born in Cleveland, Ohio, on December 26, 1937, to Peter and Julia Schlund. She was married to the late William “Pete” Simmons for 50 years. She was the beloved sister of Peter, Margaret, Julie, Connie, and Frank.

Mary was a devoted mother to Bonnie (Dave) Kaliszewski, Doris Koprowski, William Simmons (deceased), Donna Tartell, Mary (Robert) Tonucci, Thomas (Marge) Simmons, Brenda (Jodi) Simmons, Wendy (Tom) Kostura, David Simmons, and Scott Simmons.

She was a loving grandmother to 15 and a cherished great-grandmother to 18. Mary adored her family and had a lifelong love for plants, the lottery, and sweets. She will be deeply missed by all whose lives were touched by her strength, warmth, and kindness.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, November 28, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Parma Eagles Club 4204,
