With heavy hearts and deep love, the family of Michael L. Staverman announces his passing on July 10, 2025, at the age of 62.
Born on October 21, 1962, Michael was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather, and cherished brother and friend. He was the beloved husband of Margie Staverman, and a dedicated father to Michael Wagner, Steven Wagner, and Amanda Stemm (Chris). Nothing brought him more joy than being “Grandpa” to his granddaughters, Miley and Paisley Stemm, who lit up his world.
Michael was the son of the late Larry and Joyce Staverman, and the treasured brother of Sharon Bowen (Jim), Kathy Krumpelman (Kevin), Terri Lough (Brad), Rob Staverman (Leslie), and Lisa Weber (Dan). He also held a special bond with his uncle and godfather, Jim Buhr.
He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews—Zachary, Tyler, Jacob (deceased), Mitchell, Kraig, Kyle, Kori, Kamrin, Lindsay, Ethan, Jacob, Michaela, and Keegan—who brought him pride and laughter throughout his life.
Michael was also a beloved son-in-law to the late Michael Pitts and Karen Pitts, and a valued brother-in-law to Kristine (Bryon) and Michael (Christine).
A man of strong faith, deep family roots, and unwavering loyalty, Michael lived his life with compassion, quiet strength, and a steady sense of humor that brought comfort and smiles to those around him. Whether enjoying a round of golf, sharing a story, or simply being present for those he loved, he left a mark that will never fade.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 9:30 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 4427 Rocky River Dr., Cleveland, OH 44135.
A Celebration of Life will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Springdale Golf Course and Ballroom, 5871 Canterbury Rd., North Olmsted, OH 44070.
