Raymond Darren Lunsford passed away on November 5, 2025, at the age of 65. Born on October 23, 1960, Raymond was known to many as an ardent Dallas Cowboys fan and a jack-of-all-trades, always ready to lend a helping hand or share a bit of wisdom, regardless of the task.
Raymond is survived by his beloved children, Nathan, Dayna, Meghann, and Jordan, who carry his legacy forward with pride and love. He also leaves behind his grandchildren: Brooke, Skyler, Greyson, Ember, Bohen, Bentley, Rose, and Willow. Each of them holds a special place in their hearts for the wisdom and joy he imparted to them through their parents.
He is also survived by his brother, Dale Lunsford, who shared many fond memories with him that highlighted their bond as siblings.
Raymond was preceded in death by his devoted spouse, Wendy Lunsford, who was a significant presence in his life, nurturing their family with love. He was also reunited with his deceased siblings, David, Diane, and Danny Lunsford, alongside his parents, Robert Lunsford and Lillian Burn, who instilled in him the values that guided him throughout his life.
Raymond's spirit and legacy will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege to know him. Despite hardships and a troubled past, he shared nothing but kindness and warmth with those around him. As his son Nathan puts it, "He didn't have a mean bone in his body." His love for life, his passions, and his unyielding support for those he loved will continue to echo in the hearts of many.
